SAN FRANCISCO — N.N.Y.’s Eric Staalt has been suspended one game for his participation in a religious science treatment and will miss the rest of the season, the New York Islanders said Friday.

Staalt, 28, will be eligible to return to the lineup on Feb. 11 after serving his suspension, which is one day earlier than originally scheduled.

The suspension was announced on the team’s official website.

Staanels first suspension in 2015 was a one-game one-day one-week suspension for failing to report to a medical clinic.

In the first half of this season, Staalt missed three games and had his suspension reduced to a two-game ban.

He played in his final game in February against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
